Dr. Dylan Xing joined Yale Health in 2024 as a postdoctoral associate in psychology. He completed his externship at Georgetown University and predoctoral internship at Duke University prior to earning his doctorate in clinical psychology from George Washington University.
Dr. Xing’s clinical focus includes working with international students, LGBTQIA+ population, and individuals with trauma. His primary therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, where he facilitates patients in exploring their internal world, relational dynamics, self-observation, and meaning in life. He also incorporates Rogerian person-centered therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to accommodate the varied needs of patients. Dr. Xing offers therapy services in both.
Additionally, Dr. Xing is passionate about group therapy, organizational dynamics, and social systems. He has co-led several process groups and regularly participates in experiential group programs and Tavistock Tradition group relation conferences.
