Dr. Melissa Morrison joined Yale Health in 2021 as a Staff Psychologist and was promoted to Clinical Psychologist in 2024. Prior to joining Yale Health, Dr. Morrison completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Tufts University’s Counseling and Mental Health Services.
Dr. Morrison has worked in university counseling settings for over 10 years and has dedicated her training and career to supporting the mental health and well-being of college students. Her clinical interests include anxiety disorders, perfectionism, interpersonal relationship dynamics, identity development, and working with individuals who may feel hesitant about counseling or who have had challenging experiences with mental health treatment in the past.
Dr. Morrison’s therapeutic approach integrates humanistic and cognitive behavioral approaches, with an emphasis on collaboration, self-understanding, and helping students develop meaningful and sustainable tools for growth and change.
