Making an Appointment
How do I schedule an appointment?
You may schedule an appointment by contacting the department directly. Department phone numbers are available in the Yale Health Department Directory.
You can use MyChart to self-schedule appointments in Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, and Student Health with a few easy steps:
- Log in to your MyChart Account.
- Select “Schedule an Appointment.”
- Choose your Primary Care Provider (Brian Goldenberg is an example, not necessarily who you will see as your option).
- Select “YHC Student Health Appointment,” “YHC Internal Medicine,” or “YHC OB/GYN Appointment.”
- Select the type of appointment you would like to schedule.
- Select your preferred appointment time and date from the available options.
- Enter a reason for the visit and then select “Schedule it.”
You may also use MyChart to request appointments.
If you have MyChart proxy access for your child, you can request an appointment with their primary care provider in Pediatrics.
Yale Health offers video, phone, and in-person visits.
When you have an unexpected illness or injury, we recommend beginning with a phone call to your primary care department (Internal Medicine, Student Health, Pediatrics, or Ob/Gyn). A nurse will call you back to discuss your symptoms. If you need to come in, we can offer you a same-day or next-day appointment with your primary care provider or a member of their team that is convenient for you.
Sometimes, you may be advised to visit our Acute Care Department or Specialty Services. After hours and on weekends, the triage nurses in Acute Care are always available by phone and can help you determine if you need to come in for an evaluation.
