Some vaccines may not be suitable for certain age groups or individuals with specific medical conditions. Further discussion with your primary care provider may be warranted.
Scheduling an Appointment
- The department accepts both scheduled appointments and walk-ins.
- You may schedule an appointment through MyChart (excluding patients with Medicare) or by calling the Immunizations Department.
- In the event that your provider orders immunizations for you, please call the Immunization Department to schedule an appointment.
- If you have Medicare and want to schedule an appointment, please call the Immunizations Department for additional appointment instructions as you may have to stop at the pharmacy prior to your appointment.
Receiving Your Immunizations
- You can still receive immunizations if you are ill with a mild cold. However, if you have a fever, you should not receive immunizations.
- Before all injections, the nurse will provide you with a vaccine information sheet for all the immunizations you are about to receive. The most common side effect is soreness at the site of the injection.
- All new incoming students have immunization requirements. Please review these requirements on the forms page.
