Accessing Images in MyChart
MyChart allows you to access your medical images, such as X-rays, MRIs, and other diagnostic images, directly through your MyChart account. The below provides simple instructions on how to view, download, and share your images securely. If you encounter any issues with access, support contact details are also available.
How to View Your Images
- Log in to MyChart.
- Click Test Results.

- Click on the study you would like to view.

- Scroll to the bottom of the report and click the Exam Images link.

- Your images will open in a browser screen called the NIL Viewer.

- Right click on an image. From the menu, go to Download, then click Download Study.

- From the pop up window, click Download.

- A window will appear in the top right corner of your browser showing you the progress of the download. When it is complete, you can click Open File to open the folder containing the images.
- NOTE: The images will not be viewable without a specialized viewing application.

- When the study loads in the viewer, right click on an image.
- From the menu, click Send Link.

- On the pop up screen:
- Check the box next to Note: authorization cannot be removed once the secure link is sent.
- The Limit number of uses to field will be checked by default. This is the number of times you are authorizing the link to be clicked. You can set this number to any amount.
- NOTE: Once the maximum number of uses has been met, a new link will need to be generated in order to share this study again.
- Check the box next to the Send via email to field and enter the email address of the person you are sending the images to.
- Click Get Link.

- Click Click to send like by email.

- A pop up will appear at the top of the page confirming that the link was sent. Click OK to close the pop up.
