Inpatient Care

About

We offer our members a fully-licensed inpatient unit with 15 beds. We provide individualized care for a variety of medical and surgical conditions in an intimate and caring environment.

Our services include:

• Continued care of patients transferred from the hospital after surgery or serious illness
• Direct admission from any Yale Health clinical department for further evaluation, diagnosis or treatment for a range of common medical problems
• Short-term rehabilitation services
• Hospice and palliative care

Your Care Team

Your healthcare team consists of our staff physicians and PA’s, nurses, and certified nursing assistants. We will work with you and your family to design a plan of care individualized to you. We will involve other members of the Yale Health staff as needed to promote your recovery.

Discharge Planning

Our staff is committed to helping you make a smooth transition from the facility once you are medically stable. We will help coordinate your home care, assist with scheduling follow-up appointments, and other tasks essential to your full recovery.

Appointment Information

Inpatient Care is staffed 24 hours a day by our licensed nurses and clinicians. A typical stay lasts 2-4 days depending on your medical condition.

Medicare patients cannot be admitted to Yale Health Inpatient Care.
