Dr. Wendy Cook joined Yale Health in 2023 as a Staff Psychologist. Prior to joining as staff, she was a postdoctoral associate at Yale Health Mental Health and Counseling. Dr. Cook received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed an internship at the Yale School of Medicine, working at the Hispanic Behavioral Health Services and the Adult Community Health Services at the Connecticut Mental Health Center. Dr. Cook has devoted her career to the understanding and treatment of trauma. 

Her clinical interests include PTSD, complex trauma, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, issues related to immigration and acculturation, anxiety, and depression. She integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy with cognitive behavioral and mindfulness approaches.
