Dr. Ruben Atilano joined Yale Health in 2021. Before his appointment, he completed his doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Georgia and interned at Yale School of Medicine, Connecticut Mental Health Center - La Clinica Hispana.
Dr. Atilano has dedicated his professional career to specializing in treating bilingual Spanish-speaking communities and college students. He takes great pleasure in working with individuals holding minoritized identities, particularly those from the BIPOC communities. In his practice, Dr. Atilano integrates a multicultural perspective with behavioral and cognitive-behavioral approaches.
