Dr. Nientara Anderson first joined Yale Health as a fourth-year psychiatry resident at Yale in 2023. Prior to joining Yale Health, Dr. Anderson was a Chief Resident of the Neuroscience Research Training Program (NRTP) in the Yale Department of Psychiatry and a SAMHSA Minority Fellow.
Dr. Anderson's clinical interests are psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapy, substance use, and college mental health. Her research is focused on race and racism in medicine and medical education, substance use, and the history of science and medicine.
