Dr. Justyn Frost joined Yale Health in 2024 as a postdoctoral associate in the Mental Health and Counseling department. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis on multicultural and international psychology from Alliant International University (California School of Professional Psychology – San Diego). He completed his doctoral internship at The University of Akron Counseling & Testing Center, focusing on supervision/training and cultural diversity.
Dr. Frost incorporates acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-focused, and relational-cultural therapeutic approaches to support students in healing and creating meaningful change aligned with their values. His integrative and global approach respects students’ identities while learning from them and helping them heal from painful experiences and achieve their goals. His clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, interpersonal stress, substance use, and acculturation. Dr. Frost is particularly interested in working with men’s mental health, international students, and those with diverse, intersectional identities.
