Julian Arias, LCSW
Julian joined Yale Health in 2024 as an embedded clinician within the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. He received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University and continued his education at New York University where he earned his Master of Social Work degree. Prior to joining Yale Health, Julian worked in outpatient community and non-profit settings with a focus on crisis management work. He is experienced with individual, group, couples and family therapy. Julian also dedicated 2 years working with victims and aggressors of intimate partner violence, providing targeted individual and group therapy.
Julian’s clinical interests include supporting adults from diverse ethnic, cultural, socio-economic, sexual orientation and immigration backgrounds in navigating stressors such as life transitions, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, personality disorders, family and relationship issues. He integrates informed psychodynamic psychotherapy while also incorporating other practical methods such as CBT, DBT and solution focused interventions.
