Dr. Jernigan joined Yale Health as a psychology postdoctoral associate in 2024. They obtained their doctorate in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, KY and completed internship at Illinois State University Student Counseling Services. She has prior experience working in university counseling centers and private practice.
Dr. Jernigan is passionate about working with college students. She particularly enjoys working with those who identify as LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, and/or those looking to process or explore interpersonal trauma, existential concerns, depression, and identity. She utilizes an integrative framework that integrates multicultural-feminist, acceptance and commitment, and psychodynamic based styles. They strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, humanistic therapeutic space and enjoy working collaboratively with clients toward their goals of wellness and healing.
