Dr. Diana Lizcano joined Yale Health Mental Health and Counseling in 2021. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of Hartford and trained in various treatment settings (pre-trial diversionary program, outpatient, therapeutic day school, inpatient). Dr. Diana Lizcano completed inpatient child and adolescent internship at New York City Children's Center-Queens Campus and postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Living. For almost 7 years Dr. Diana Lizcano was a psychologist at the Albert J. Solnit Children's Center and served as an inpatient supervising psychologist.

Dr. Diana Lizcano enjoys working with students from diverse backgrounds and presenting issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, adjusting to difficult life events, identity development, relationship concerns, family dynamics, pregnancy and fertility, and immigration and acculturation. Each person is considered individually, using a culturally-sensitive and trauma-informed relational and psychodynamic lens, while using an integrative treatment approach (behavioral, cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, dialectical behavioral therapy, and EM.D.R).
