Dr Caitlin Sorenson joined Yale Health in 2019. She completed her Bachelors of Art at New York University, and her Masters of Fine Arts at Temple University. Dr. Sorenson completed her doctorate in psychology from Pepperdine University, followed by an internship at West Los Angeles Veteran Affairs Medical Center and a post-doctoral fellowship with the Veteran Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System. She has prior experience working in community mental health, private practice and within the VA system.

Dr Sorenson’s clinical interest center around caring for young adults with ADHD, neurodiversity, developing values-based relationships with family of origin, existential issues, mental health impact of climate change, spirituality, and the integration of experiences of non-ordinary states of consciousness. She employs a combination of multicultural, psychodynamic, and behavioral therapy styles with clients.
