Dr. Anna Ostrovskaya has been with Yale Health since 2005. She started as a Psychiatrist in Training and joined Mental Health and Counseling as a Staff Psychiatrist in 2007. Dr. Ostrovskaya became the Associate Chief of Medical Affairs in 2020. She received her medical degree from the Rush University Medical College and completed her internship and psychiatry residency training at Yale. Dr. Ostrovskaya’s other past clinical experiences include working as a psychiatrist in private practice, in the emergency department, in the inpatient service at the VA hospital and as Medical Director of Jewish Family Services of New Haven.
Dr. Ostrovskaya has experience working with a wide spectrum of mental health concerns, with a focus on student populations. Her clinical interests include, among others: treatment-resistant conditions, PTSD, Mood and Anxiety disorders, OCD, Personality disorders and ADHD. Dr. Ostrovskaya integrates her foundation in psychodynamic therapy with cognitive and behavioral interventions and psychopharmacology.
