Dr. Alana Slavin joined Yale Health in 2024 as a psychiatry resident physician. She received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. Prior to medical school, Alana received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Loyola Marymount University; she also received her Master of Science in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Dr. Slavin’s clinical interests include but are not limited to trauma, first-break psychosis, mood disorders, maternal and infant mental health, child and adolescent psychiatry, and the mental health of minoritized patients, including LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals and migrants. Dr. Slavin utilizes a collaborative and trauma-centered framework in her clinical practice.
