Margaret Milardo joined Yale Health in 2023 as the Embedded Counselor at the School of Management (SOM). Margaret received her bachelor’s in psychology from Assumption College and master’s in social work from the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating, Margaret worked in crisis intervention and prevention for 9 years and assisted in the implementation of a designated crisis hotline in Austin, TX. Margaret has also worked in private practice for 7 years and provided community mental health education throughout her career.
Margaret’s specializations include trauma, eating disorders, suicidality and non-suicidal self-injury, chronic severe mental health and the interaction between life transitions and one’s mental health. Margaret is excited to continue her practice at Yale and within the SOM population utilizing a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy.
