Services Available to Medicare Patients at Yale Health

The following services at Yale Health continue to be available to Medicare patients and are billed to Aetna Medicare:

  • Acute Care     
  • Diagnostic Imaging  
  • Gynecology     
  • Internal Medicine

Quest Diagnostic Services (Quest) lab tests are billed to your insurance directly by Quest. You are welcome to use the Blood Draw Department on the lower level of the Yale Health Center, but you can go to any Quest Patient Service Center.

You can continue to use the Yale Health Pharmacy, but you can go to any pharmacy.

You can receive immunizations for flu, COVID, pneumonia and Hep-B through Medicare Part B in the Immunology Department. All other vaccines must be obtained in the Yale Health Pharmacy. Travel vaccines are not available at Yale Health and should be obtained at a CVS Minute Clinic or other pharmacy which offers travel immunizations.

Specialty Services are not available to Medicare patients, including:

  • Allergy
  • Dermatology
  • Endoscopy and GI procedures
  • Inpatient Care
  • Ophthalmology
  • Specialty Services Department
