Exciting Update: Expanding Access to Bridgeport Hospital and Its Campuses!

We are excited to share some fantastic news with you! Effective July 1, 2025, Yale Health members have expanded access to Yale Medicine specialists within Bridgeport Hospital and its campuses. Our members can now access high-quality care from Yale Medicine specialists at the following new in-network locations, just like they can at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH).

Effective July 1, 2025:

In-Network Access: Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital-Milford Campus, and Park Avenue Medical Center are now recognized as in-network facilities for our members.
Seamless Services: Members can receive medical specialist and surgical care from Yale Medicine specialists at Bridgeport and its campuses when referred outside of Yale Health Center at 55 Lock Street.
Consistent Member Out-of-Pocket Costs: Your out-of-pocket costs, if any, at Bridgeport will be the same as at YNHH locations.
Emergency Care: You can now receive emergency care at Bridgeport Hospital’s Emergency Department and its Milford Hospital Campus.
- The same copay will apply for Emergency Room care at Bridgeport Hospital as at YNHH (refer to your Summary of Benefits and Coverage).
Acute Care at 55 Lock Street remains the top choice for urgent medical needs, operating daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, 365 days a year, with 24/7 telephone nurse triage/guidance support.
