Dr. Gordon Streeter was drawn to primary care pediatrics by a deep commitment to supporting families through the joyful, often unpredictable journey of childhood. He treasures the opportunity to build long-term, meaningful relationships with his patients and their families, a privilege he never takes for granted.
Known for his thoughtful, unhurried approach, Dr. Streeter believes that genuine connection begins with time. His visits often start with casual, friendly conversations that put children at ease—so much so that many find themselves asking, “When am I going to get my check-up?” He’s known for lingering at the door to answer one more question or share one last laugh. Aligning perfectly with the values at Yale Health, where time spent with patients is seen as a vital part of care.
Dr. Streeter grew up as the middle of three boys in a suburb of New York City, spending his early years outdoors riding bikes, catching frogs, and developing a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. Today, he continues to nurture that connection by “rewilding” his own yard—a personal project that reflects his belief in curiosity, play, and respect for nature.
