Dr. Aubrey Morrissey joined Yale Health in 2020. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from William James College and master’s degree in mental health counseling from Boston College. Dr. Morrissey completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Memphis Student Health and Counseling Services and her postdoctoral fellowship at Yale Mental Health and Counseling. In addition to her work in college counseling centers, she has experience working with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including an outpatient hospital, community health center, and residential treatment program.
Dr. Morrissey has extensive experience providing treatment to undergraduate and graduate students. Her clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma and trauma-related disorders, relationship concerns, identity development and intersectionality, and adjustment issues. She integrates a relational psychodynamic approach with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to meet the individualized needs of each student.
