Blood Draw

Yale Health contracts with Quest Diagnostics (Quest) for laboratory services. You may have your testing performed at any of their locations in New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont), as well as the facility located within the Yale Health Center, Lower Level. When your clinician requests lab tests, an electronic order will be placed with Quest for all lab work. (Other Quest locations and hours)

Lab specimens should be returned to the laboratory only during regular business hours; you can schedule a drop-off time.

Many routine test results are available in your MyChart account in 48-72 hours.

The Blood Draw Department at Yale Health Center is staffed by Quest phlebotomists and is only available to Yale Health members.

Walk-ins are recommended when having your blood drawn or other lab tests performed at 55 Lock Street. However, appointments are available here and at other Quest locations in New England. Use one of these three convenient options to schedule your lab tests in advance:
