Andrés Garcés
Conservation Assistant III, Yale University Art Gallery
Andrés has a BFA in Sculpture and Painting from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design. He is a practicing artist, creating artworks in 2D and 3D media inspired by observations of nature and technology. Andrés has 15 years of professional experience in the arts and has worked for artists, private art foundations, fine art photographers, private collectors, galleries and museums in the USA, Europe and South America. He joined the Yale University Art Gallery in May of 2011. During his tenure at the YUAG, Andrés has worked in Collections, Prints & Drawings, Modern and Contemporary, Photography and the Conservation Departments. He has special interest in 3D technologies (3D printing, scanning, modeling and CNC milling) and has collaborated on special projects with Yale faculty, students, IPCH scientists and YUAG conservators.
