Travel

Travel Health provides comprehensive pre-travel consultation, education, vaccination, and travel medications. Travel Health is available to faculty, staff, students, and Yale Health members. 
Our services include:

  • Individual or family consultations
  • Group travel education sessions for Yale students
  • Travel vaccinations
  • Prescriptions for travel medications
  • Special educational sessions for those that may be at risk of exposure to blood and blood borne pathogens

Charges 

Travel Health services are not a Yale Health covered benefit. You are required to pay for all charges at the time of service. You may pay by credit card, check, or charge to your student bursar account. If you have other insurance you may be able to submit your receipt for reimbursement.  You may also incur charges if you require vaccinations for your travel. If  If your travel is being funded by the University please e-mail a PTAEO number before your appointment.

Japanese Encephalitis - 2 doses $260.00 per dose
Polio (IPV) $35.00
Rabies (pre-exposure) - 3 doses $350.00 per dose
Typhoid $75.00
Yellow Fever $75.00

*Some vaccines require more than one injection to obtain maximum benefit. Does not include administration fees.
