Severe Winter Storm Impact on Yale Health Operations - February 22, 2026
A significant, and severe winter storm is expected to begin Sunday evening and run into Monday, with dangerous travel conditions forecast. Because this storm continues to evolve and carries a possibility of 16-20+ inches of snow in the New Haven area, we are adjusting our hours out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our patients and employees.
We do not make these changes often, and we appreciate your understanding.
Monday Operations: Yale Health will operate with limited onsite services:
Open Onsite
- Acute Care
- Normal, in-person hours, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- 24/7 clinical guidance via phone, 203-432-0123.
- Mental Health & Counseling (MHC)
- On-call clinicians available for urgent mental health concerns
- Students who need urgent support should call: 203-432-0290
- Student Health
- Student Health clinicians will provide telehealth visits
- All phone lines remain open for guidance and support
- Pharmacy
- Late opening, in-person hours, 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Expect some delays with a limited onsite team
- Quest Laboratory Services is operating with limited availability

- Diagnostic Imaging operating with limited appointment availability
- Physical Therapy is closed for in-person care, offering virtual visits where appropriate. If you have scheduled care, your clinical team will contact you with the next steps.
