Referral Coordination

The Referral Coordination Department is the first step in the referral review process.

Healthcare services from specialty departments at the Yale Health Center and all care outside of the Yale Health Center require prior authorization.  Prior authorization is requested by a referral from your primary care clinician. 

A referral from your primary care clinician does not guarantee authorization.  The referral will be reviewed and you will be notified of the status.
