  • 1.4 million people are stalked every year in the United States.
  • Approximately 90% of stalking cases involve men: approximately 75% are men stalking women but men stalk men, women stalk women and women stalk men.
  • The majority of stalking victims (74%) are between 18 and 39 years old.
  • 1 in 12 women will be stalked at some point in her lifetime.
  • 1 in 45 men will be stalked at some point in his lifetime.
  • More than 80% of women who are stalked on campus knew their stalker.
  • 3 in 10 college women reported being injured emotionally or psychologically from being stalked.
  • 31% of the women who are stalked by an intimate partner are sexually assaulted by that partner.
