Directions to Howard Avenue Garage

The Howard Avenue Garage is next to the Yale Physicians Building at 800 Howard Avenue. The garage is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and is convenient for visits to the Yale Physicians Building, Dana Building, Clinic Building, Primary Care Center and Yale Eye Center (Boardman Building).

1-95 South or North - On 1- 95, take Exit 47 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. From Route 34 take Exit 2. At end of ramp, take left onto College Street. Proceed one block and bear right onto Congress Avenue. The second light is Howard Avenue. Continue through intersection and turn right into Garage.

1-91 South - On 1-91, take Exit 1 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. From Route 34 take Exit 2. At end of ramp, take left onto College Street. Proceed one block and bear right onto Congress Avenue. The second light is Howard Avenue. Continue through intersection and turn right into Garage.

Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway North - On Parkway, take Exit 54 for connector to 1-95. At end of connector, take 1-95 north toward New Haven. On 1-95, take Exit 47 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. From Route 34 take Exit 2. At end of ramp, take left onto College Street. Proceed one block on College Street, and bear right onto Congress Avenue. The second light is Howard Avenue. Continue through intersection and turn right into Garage.

Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway South - On Parkway, take Exit 57 to Route 34 East. Follow Route 34 East for 4.4 miles to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. Turn right on E.T. Grasso (Route 34 E. & Route 10 South.) On E.T. Grasso, proceed to second light and turn left onto Legion Avenue which becomes South Frontage Rd. At fourth light, turn right onto Howard Avenue. Beyond third light is Yale Physicians Building at 800 Howard Ave and Garage is on the right.

Route 34 East - Follow Route 34 East, after crossing Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway, go 4.4 miles to E.T. Grasso Boulevard. Turn right on E.T. Grasso (Route 34 East and Route 10 South) On E.T. Grasso, proceed to second light and turn left onto Legion Avenue which becomes South Frontage Rd. At fourth light, turn right onto Howard Avenue. Beyond third light is Yale Physicians Building at 800 Howard Ave and Garage is on the right.

Directions to Air Rights Garage

The Air Rights Garage is located between North and South Frontage Roads and straddles York Street and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Entrances to the garage are located on North Frontage Road and South Frontage Road.

1-95 South or North - On 1-95 take Exit 47 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 take Exit 3 which becomes North Frontage Road. Stay in left lane, garage entrance is ahead on left.

1-91 South - On 1-91, take Exit 1 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 take Exit 3 which becomes North Frontage Road. Stay in left lane, garage entrance is ahead on left.

Directions to Children's Hospital Underground Garage

The Children's Hospital Garage is an underground parking area adjacent to the Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital located at corner of York and Park Streets. This is convenient for visitors to the Children's Hospital inpatient and outpatient areas including the Pediatric Specialty Center, Diagnostic Imaging and Physical Therapy.

1-95 South or North - On 1-95 take Exit 47 onto Route 34 toward downtown New Haven. On Route 34 take Exit 3 which becomes North Fron-tage Rd. Stay in left lane and pass through inter-section with York St. At second light, turn left onto Park St. On Park, proceed to second light. Turn left onto Howard Ave. On Howard, turn left at first light onto York St. Turn left into Garage.

I-95 South - On 1-95, take Exit 46. At end of ramp, turn left onto Sargent Drive. At next light, turn right onto Long Wharf Drive and proceed until road bears right (past Marriott Residence Inn) and enter large parking area.

I-95 North - On 1-95 take Exit 46. At end of ramp, turn right onto Long Wharf Drive. Pass under the highway. At next light continue on Long Wharf Drive until the road bears right (past Marriott Residence Inn) and enter large parking area.

I-91 South - On 1-91, travel south to the inter-change of 1-91 and 1-95 in downtown New Haven. At this merge, take 1-95 South to Exit 46. At end of ramp, turn left onto Sargent Drive. Route 34 East - Follow Route 34 East, after crossing Merritt/Wilbur Cross Parkway, go 4.4 miles to E.T. Grasso Boulevard. Turn right at light on E.T. Grasso (Route 34 East and Route 10 South). On E.T Grasso, continue for about 2 miles and follow signs for 1-95 North. Take 1-95 North to Exit 46. At end of ramp, make right onto Long Wharf Drive. Pass under the highway. At next light, continue on Long Wharf Drive until the road bears right (past Marriott Residence Inn) and enter large parking area.
