When is the allergist available?

The allergist is available for skin tests, initial allergy consultations and follow-up allergy visits on Mondays and Tuesdays.

How often do I have to come for allergy injections?

Allergy immunotherapy is given 1 to 2 times a week until a maintenance dose is achieved.

Should I get my allergy injection if I am sick?

Not if you are ill with fever, rash, asthma symptoms, or have increased allergy symptoms.

What happens if I can't make my weekly injection because of illness?

Adjustments to your allergy injections will be made depending on the length of time since your last injection.

I am already on allergy immunotherapy. How can I continue my injections?

Once your home allergist completes the required forms found on the Yale Health Web site, you need to call 203-432-0093 and make an appointment with the allergy nurse.
